Preparing livestock for showing involves several steps to ensure that animals are in top condition and ready to perform their best in the show ring. Here are some general guidelines:
Diet
Feed a balanced and nutritious diet appropriate for species and age. Regular use of a premium quality drench such as Oviboost / Boviboost & Muscle Paste can ensure optimum vitamin, mineral & trace element levels are maintained. Always ensure access to fresh, clean water.

Exercise
Exercise animals regularly to keep them in good physical condition – walking, running, or training exercises specific to their species. Grooming
Groom animals regularly to keep coats or feathers clean and shiny – brushing, washing, clipping and trimming. Health
Keep animals healthy with regular veterinary care, including vaccinations and parasite control.
Training
Train animals to behave well in the show ring and when travelling – standing still for judging, walking on a lead, and responding to commands. A natural, calming supplement like No-Stress (using valerian root) can help relax the animal for a more relaxed journey & performance. Ensure plenty of water is accessible and provide an electrolyte source, Electro-Aid, to replace lost salts, sugars and minerals and aid rapid rehydration.
Presentation
On the day of the show, present animals in the best possible light using show-quality grooming products and attire, ensuring they are calm and well-behaved.
