Established in 1854, Osmonds is a UK family-owned company based near Whitchurch, on the Shropshire/Cheshire border. As working farmers ourselves, we understand what British agriculture needs.
Our Heritage
Established in 1854, Osmonds is a UK family-owned company based in the countryside near Whitchurch, on the Shropshire/Cheshire border. Originally based in Lincolnshire, the Wilson family became part of the company's rich heritage, purchasing the company in the 1970s.
Industry Innovators
As clear industry innovators, Osmonds was the first company to introduce dried colostrum products into the UK and is still manufacturing colostrum products for many animals including calves, lambs, puppies and racing pigeons.
Built for Farmers
We understand farmers' requirements, developing and launching products such as Bactakil 55, Lamb & Calf Colostrum, Vitamin & Mineral Drenches, hoof-care products, and a variety of showing, conditioning and healthcare supplements that serve agriculture to this day.
A Growing Company
Over the years there have been many exciting changes, including the purchase of Petcetera etc, followed by the 2001 relocation to our current home at Bradeley Green Farm, where Osmonds and Petcetera etc operate from today.
Our Working Farm
Throughout constant innovation and development, and as working farmers ourselves with a flock of pedigree Shropshire Sheep, we understand the need to provide the best quality product to our customers.
Bradeley Green Farm is a mixed arable and sheep farm, growing maize, barley and wheat alongside grass leys and wooded ponds. Our flock of MV Accredited pedigree Shropshire sheep was chosen for its suitability for grazing in wooded areas – without eating the trees themselves!
The Shropshires are good mothers, easy lambing, good milkers and quiet. We currently run 40–50 breeding ewes and sell the progeny for breeding stock. We're passionate about what we produce because we use it on our own animals – with very successful results.
